Sapientia et Doctrina Celebration, Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education
Friday, 21 October 2011 | 6 p.m. McGinley Center Ballroom | Rose Hill Campus
The Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education invite you to the sixth annual event honoring various people for their work or ministry within a spiritual or religious setting, parish, diocese or mission.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Gregory Boyle, S.J., author of Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion, a series of essays about his work as a pastor working in a neighborhood with the highest concentration of gang activity in Los Angeles. Father Boyle created an organization offering job training and encouragement so that young people could work together and learn the mutual respect that comes from collaboration.
