GBA: How Do I Really Use Social Media?
A Summer FUN Offering

Monday, 4 June 2012 - Monday, 16 July 2012 | 6 – 8 p.m.
Graduate School of Business Administration | Lincoln Center Campus

This course if part of the summer offerings from the Graduate School of Business Administration's Fordham University New Media Center (FUN).

The course is designed as an introduction for Internet users with limited prior exposure to the “Big 4” social media platforms—Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube—plus blogging tools and rapidly emerging apps such as Pinterest.

The goals are for participants to establish a personal online presence and gain basic competence in publishing content and interacting with others online.

Participants meet weekly for six introductory sessions.

Proposed syllabus:

Week/ Lesson
1 Facebook
2 Twitter
3 LinkedIn
4 Visual: YouTube, Pinterest, Flickr; etc.
5 Blogs and blogging tools
6 Mobile management/troubleshooting
Other programs integrated as class requires

Cost: $300

Class size is limited. Open to the entire Fordham community.
