During the week of February 18, Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham University, and members of the University's Development and University Relations team visited with Fordham alumni and friends in three Florida cities and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dinner guests in Naples enjoyed a presentation about the modern presidency by Jeffrey Cohen, Ph.D., professor of political science at Fordham. Fordham alumna Darlene Luccio Jordan, Esq., FCRH '89, and her husband, Gerald R. Jordan Jr., hosted more than 75 people at their Palm Beach home. More than 100 alumni, current parents, prospective students and their parents attended the reception at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables—the best event turnout ever for the Miami area. In San Juan, guests were treated to a tour of the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and a reception in its atrium. In all four cities, Michael Griffin, assistant vice president for alumni relations at Fordham, explained to alumni the many ways to stay connected to the University, including attending a reunion, joining a local chapter, or mentoring a student. Father McShane provided updates on some of the University's latest news and achievements and continued to strengthen the Fordham brand in the southeast.
