The Graduate School of Education is pleased to announce our inaugural Barbara L. Jackson Memorial Lecture and Reception, to be held on the evening of November 19, 2013.

Speaker: Olga Welch, Ed.D., dean and professor, School of Education, Duquesne University

For more information, contact Jake Braithwaite at 212-636-7501 or braithwaite@fordham.edu.

Professor Barbara Jackson, Ed.D., former faculty member and chair of the Division of Administration, Policy, and Urban Education in the Graduate School of Education (GSE), was a dynamic force in strengthening the quality of the administration programs at GSE. In conjunction with the lecture, GSE is launching a new scholarship fund in her honor. This award will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need, academic merit, and is enrolled in a program in educational leadership at GSE with a preference given to a student with a strong interest in urban education.

Visit fordham.edu/onlinegiving, select 'other' and designate the Barbara Jackson Scholarship to make a gift to this fund.
