Hear Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, co-founder of Gilt Groupe, discuss her experience as an entrepreneur in the exciting world of fashion.
Alexandra Wilkis Wilson is co-founder and chief merchandising officer of Gilt Groupe. She has 12 years of international experience in the luxury goods, retail and finance sectors. Most recently she oversaw retail operations at Bulgari overseeing 15 North American stores. Prior to that Alexandra managed Leather Goods Sales Planning for Louis Vuitton North America. She started her retail career as a consultant for retail guru Marvin Traub at Financo Inc. Earlier in her career, Alexandra worked for three years in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York and in London. Alexandra earned a B.A. from Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude, and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Alexandra speaks five languages and is a native New Yorker.
